This series of 2 workshops is designed for healthcare professions educators who want a foundation of knowledge about standard setting principles and hands on experience of applying two classic standard setting methods for written (SBA) examinations. It is suitable for beginners and experienced healthcare educators who wish to explore more in an experiential setting

2.    14 June 2027: Angoff and Ebel methods: hands on application of methods

Aim: This workshop is designed for health professions educators who want a comprehensive introduction to standard setting for written tests of knowledge.

Objectives: Participants will

1. become familiar with the evidence base for the different methods currently in use

2. be able to understand the steps in the various methods

3. have gained experience in applying them to written tests

This short course will be delivered as 2 live webinar, lasting 3hrs each.
