Test metrics are an essential part of assessment validity and quality assurance. While it is possible to produce these metrics by using statistical packages and test software, the interpretation of the metrics is a key skill for all health professions educators.

This workshop is designed to provide comprehensive introduction to standard setting for written tests of knowledge. We will cover both theoretical and practical aspects of test-centred standard setting using the Angoff, Ebel and Cohen methods, applied to Single Best Answer (SBA) test items.
